How does our morning begin? From a cup of tea or coffee? From the morning cigarette? With a smile for a loved one? Everything is true, only different people have different habits, but we all start the same day: from the view of the window. We are convinced that the sun rises, like yesterday, and the neighboring house is the same, in general, the world in its usual rut, so you can start your day as usual. But did humanity always have such a habit?
It is unlikely that this is due to the fact that the buildings at the dawn of mankind did not have windows. Only much later the prototypes of windows appeared: cutting or narrow cracks. They did not know how to make glasses, so the windows had an extremely small size, because it was also necessary to defend themselves from bad weather. Later, in the buildings of Ancient Rome, the windows became more, they put bars on them so that the birds did not fly, the precursors of the misfortunes.
Although it is worth noting that the windows were rarely done, in ancient Greece, buildings with windows were considered a luxury. Our ancestors of the Slavs came up with shutters. Since the production of glass windows for our ancestors was not just a luxury, but something from the field of science fiction, they used mainly fish, and a bull bubble, and a canvas, thin wooden plates, mica, even ordinary ice. The mica was considered the most suitable material for the windows for a long time, because the quality of the first glass left much to be desired. But nothing is in place and now the glass recipe is available everywhere, its quality is much improved, the window has ceased to be the subject of luxury.
Today we have windows for every taste: size, price, quality. You can even choose the material: plastic, wood, aluminum or something combined.
