Carrying out repairs in the bathroom is often associated using a material such as tile. It has a high enough moisture resistance level. It is quite difficult to carry out the installation of this material, but in the end you can get a high -quality finish without special problems. Some problems arise if there is a need to drill a tile.
Drilling a tile is required when you need to place hooks for towels on the wall, hang a mirror or furniture for storing hygiene items. Without all this in the bathroom, you can hardly do. But the fact is that the drilling of a tile can lead to its cracking. To prevent this, a special approach is needed in the process of performing work.
The tile should be drilled using an electric drill with a small speed (up to 1000 per minute). The use of a hand drill, which does not work from electricity, but as a result of the application of physical force, is not entirely justified. In this case, it is very difficult to drill the required hole. In addition, if you apply too much strength, you can damage the tile so that it will have to be replaced.
Much attention should be paid to the used drills. It is much better if they have a spear shape. The peculiarity of such drills is that they are sharpened at a rather sharp angle. As a result, you can achieve a hole, the diameter of which is up to 12 mm.
In the process of drilling tiles, it is forbidden to use a drill that has a tip at a blunt angle. It is also impossible to apply to the use of the impact mode of the power tool. Before starting work, the place of the future opening must be sealed with painting tape. It will prevent the sliding of the drill in the initial stage of creating the hole.
