Its durability and strength, the unique pattern of stone, simplicity and cheapness of processing – all these characteristics are very attractive to a person of any generation.
Marble is extracted far from everywhere, therefore, due to its rarity, it was used in the decoration of only large and significant objects. Only very wealthy people could afford the marble lining.
However, today there are technical developments that allow even a person with an average income to make a marble finish in his house. This has become a reality with the advent of artificial marble, which is represented in the wide color scheme of shades.
A great advantage of marble lies in its durability. High porosity of the stone allows him to breathe, which provides a long service life. It is difficult to imagine, but marble is perfectly preserved for 150-200 years without the slightest change in its structure.
Many objects have been made from marble. Suffice it to say that the temple of Artemis in Ephesus is a marble miracle of light.
Marble, like any other stone, is aging, but such a process does not occur in one day, this requires centuries. At the same time, marble does not lose its properties. Ancient marble is especially popular today, as a result of which special technologies for its artificial aging have been developed.
The only drawback of marble is its instability to acids, which, however, is not inherent in artificial marble, which will decorate any kitchen and will be very durable.
