China tests CR450 high-speed train with speeds up to 450 km/h
Tests of the CR450 high-speed train have started in China before the train is put into commercial operation. Local media reported on the tests of the train by China Railways, which reaches speeds of up to 450 km/h.
Tests of prototypes of the train are taking place in Beijing, it is noted that the operating speed of the CR450 should reach 400 km/h – this is faster than the CR400 in operation, which reaches speeds of up to 350 km/h. Based on the tests, engineers will improve the technical performance of the train.
The CR450 prototype was presented back in December 2024, the new product is designed to significantly speed up transportation across the country. The new train has a shorter braking distance, stability and an improved control system. All these technical characteristics will ensure higher safety compared to existing analogues. In addition, the train will be more comfortable for passengers and will be more energy efficient.
