US Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert Kennedy Jr. has suspended a contract with the biotech company Vaxart, which was developing a new COVID-19 vaccine, for three months, Fox News reports.
According to the channel, the creation of a new COVID vaccine was part of the initiative of the administration of the previous US President Joe Biden, approximately $460 million was allocated for its development, and $240 million for preliminary research related to the vaccine.
“Kennedy Jr. has suspended the Biden administration’s multimillion-dollar contract to create a new COVID-19 vaccine… Kennedy issued an order suspending the contract… with the American biotech company Vaxart Inc., which is developing a new vaccine,” Fox News reports.
