During the construction of a private house, sometimes you have to dwell on the option of erecting a pile or column foundation. In this way it makes sense to act in the construction of a relatively easy structure, for example, a summer house in the country. The design of this structure is quite easy and there is no need to perform significant amounts of excavation work, which are carried out during construction, for example, a strip foundation. The next reason for the preference of the column foundation is the special properties of the soil. If the soil is constantly waterlogged or has a lusk structure, and it also contains excessive amount of peat and humus, the construction of a columnar foundation must be.
To begin with, the site is planned, after which, on the area of construction of the foundation, plant soil is removed to a depth of about thirty centimeters. At the next stage, marking the future base and determination of the sites for posting poles are carried out. The piles should be at the corners of the structure, in the areas of the adjoining and intersections of the load -bearing walls, as well as in the areas provided for the largest load on the walls of the future building. The pillars are located in a straight line with a pitch of one and a half or two meters, and the depth of their laying depends on the degree of freezing of the soil, where the lower end of the pile should be located twenty centimeters below this level.
For the greater strength of the structure, when erecting a columnar foundation, it is possible to strengthen the basis by means of grillage, namely, additional support for walls connecting the poles. The grillage can be high enough, if it does not apply to the soil and is strictly horizontally on the pillar protruding from the ground. When arranging a low version, the grillage is located on the ground, based on the piles. When installing a high grillage, a gut is built, namely, thin walls between the columns of the base, made of burned brick or bottle stone. In the event that the soil is weak enough, a sand cushion is produced under the bunch of about twenty centimeters, after which, the gate is insulated with a piercing or slag.
Fundamental pillars, as a rule, are made of concrete mixture, made of concrete of asbestos pipes, from metal pipes and ready -made concrete pillars, as well as from praised coniferous logs. In some cases, wells are created under the poles, and sometimes, when using special equipment, the pillars are clogged into the soil without preliminary drilling. One of the most common methods of erecting a columnar foundation is the following: a concrete mixture is poured into dug wells or drilled wells, after which it is filled with a missile stone and intensified by means of metal reinforcement.
The columnar foundation, built in compliance with the established rules and technologies, will be strong enough and reliable, but this type of foundation has one significant minus. In the event that the building is built on the foundation of the columnar type, it will not be able to have enough extensive basement, and only a small underground to storage vegetables is arranged.
