At the moment, drywall and stretch ceilings are considered the most common finish, ceiling tiles are less expensive and durable. Tiles can be of different gamuts and sizes and patterns on it. When choosing, it is worth taking into account that there are cases of breakdown and deformation, so you must take into account the supply of material. It can be washed, since it is waterproof. For beginners, who first decided to glue it on their own, it is recommended to choose white material. Since after pasting you can paint the surface with water -based paint of any color to hide defects.
To start the work, it is necessary to disguise all the flaws on the ceiling, that is, cover the seams, smash those places that do not reliably fit, leve the ceiling. Glue ceiling tiles in two ways: diagonally and in a straight line. In the first case, the work is carried out if the ceiling has many flaws and the surface is not even, the diagonal method will hide such a defect. It will be much more reliable to choose glue for gluing – putty. For pasting diagonally, you should at the beginning, make the ceiling marking, find the middle, the work begins from the middle of the ceiling. We draw two perpendicular lines in the center of the ceiling with a pencil, apply the first tile with a thin layer of glue on the first tile – putty in the middle and around the edges, and glue it to the middle of the ceiling, tightly press, lay the next row next to each other as close as possible to each other. Next, we lay the tile according to the marking along and down, then we lay the entire ceiling with tiles, while at the edges they will turn out not solid, and if it is economically cut, then enough for two floors.
After all the material is glued, the surface should be processed, treated with a damp cloth or sponge to remove excess glue. If necessary, the seams can be thrown and painted with water -based paint (you can choose the color at will and according to your taste and preferences) in two layers. On the perimeter of the room you need to glue the ceiling skirting board (fillets). Small the gap between ceiling tiles and skirting boards with a thin layer of putty for finishing work, you can use a small spatula after everything dries out with sandpaper with small abrasive.
