As a rule, when staining surfaces, the paint should dry for at least a day, but if we need it so that the paint is dry as quickly as possible, we can apply some techniques and methods to accelerate this process. When selecting paint, you should pay attention to the time of drying the paint. For example, if you want the paint to dry as quickly as possible, you should choose alkyd paints. They, unlike oils, dry very fast. The period of their drying from several hours to a day maximum.
But if for your needs you need a paint on an oil basis, then for the rapid drying of it you can purchase a sequcate – a catalyst for oxidative polymerization. It specially adds to the paint to accelerate drying.
The thicker the layer of application, the longer it will dry. Do not apply paint with a thick layer. If an unpainted surface is visible after applying the paint, after drying it is better to repeat the painting with another layer.
The paint will dry faster if the room will circulate fresh air. But you should not apply paint on cold surfaces, or if the room is cold. In such conditions, the paint thickens faster and the swelling may form. In addition, the paint dries longer in the cold room.
For quick drying of small painted parts, you can use a building hair dryer. To use it as a means for drying paint, you must first read the instructions. Otherwise, at a strong temperature or a hairdryer, the paint may crack.
You can accelerate the drying of the paint using the heater. His infrared rays penetrate the paint and dry it perfectly.
But in general, it is best to plan to plan or color surfaces in advance to let the paint dry in natural conditions, and not by acceleration.
