Any repair for a person is associated with stress. Everyone knows this. No matter how interesting it is to choose wallpaper in rooms and kner-offs on the walls, no matter how excitingly to select furniture and other components of the interior, in any case this stressful situation ever takes place. Well, if the stressful situation happened much earlier, as for me, for example, the repair becomes forced, then there is nothing to say.
Returning somehow from work, I discovered that the neighbors from above flooded my bathroom. Of course, this was not so much to blame for the neighbors themselves as the communal services who did not care about the residents at all, because the pipes, which had long breathed on the incense, finally leaked. And as a result of this – a breakthrough and a wet ceiling in my bathroom.
Of course, I decided to be an optimist and thought, since such a situation occurred, it was necessary to extract maximum benefits from it, because the repair of the bathroom was already in my plans for a long time, but still “hands did not reach” in any way. Therefore, instead of light cosmetic repairs, I conceived a thorough alteration of the bathroom. I hired workers, chose tiles, ordered a new plumbing, sketched mentally what my bathroom will look like after all the manipulations. And I found that the whole interior, so carefully selected, no matter how hard I tried, will spoil the pipes and counters.
True, thanks to the brigade that I hired – the guys got good, conscientious and responsible – they advised me to install hatches for tiles so that I had access to the meters and valves, if I need to check the readings or block water, and the general interior was preserved. I gladly agreed, because it was the only acceptable way out, which, moreover, suited me.
I thought that there would be difficulties with installation where the washing machine is located, because the distance between it and the wall is small, and how can it be possible to open the hatch, I did not understand. It turns out, in addition to the usual swing hatches, which are most common and are most often used, there are also shifting, opening parallel to the wall – just for such hard -to -reach places as in my bathroom.
Therefore, I am very grateful to those who came up with this invention itself – hatches for tiles, and those who advised me to establish. Now my bathroom is both new and modern. As they say, there would be no happiness, but misfortune helped.
